Memorial Mass for Fr. Jess Esplana

Hi everyone:

I just received a telephone call tonight from Msgr. Jerry Rebanal, one of our OLPDA sipiritual directors, informing me and likewise requesting me to spread the news about the most recent death of the late Rev. Fr. Jesus Esplana in San Diego, California. As per Msgr. Jerry, the information he got is that the remains of Fr. Jess Esplana will be buried in San Diego, California. Msgr. Jerry also said that Fr. Jess Esplana was his classmate at the Naga City Seminary since the beginning of their seminary studies. Before going to San Diego, California, Fr. Jess Esplana has been a Pastor in Pamplona, Camarines Sur.

Msgr. Jerry Rebanal is planning and inviting you all to attend a memorial Mass for Fr. Jess Esplana; the details for this memorial Mass are to be announced later. So, please stay tuned.

Regards,

Ben Silerio

The Brilliant Plan !!

NOTE: This may have been from a comedian, but there is more to it than just a simple humor. Is this a GOOD THINKING? What say you? Thanks to Chit B. for the “forward”.

The Plan!

You gotta love Robin Williams...! Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan. What we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message.Robin Williams' plan...(Hard to argue with this logic!)"I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan."

1) "The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those "good 'ole' boys", we will never "interfere" again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea, the Middle East, and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported mmediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They're illegal!!! France will welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH...learn it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

"The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses." She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'you want a piece of me?' "

If you agree with the above forward it to friends...If not, and I would be amazed, DELETE it!!

Forward from Chit B.

I just received this today:

>: Paul Harvey says:
>
> I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I'm not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December. I don't agree with Darwin, but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher taught his theory of evolution.
>
> Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game.
>
> So what's the big deal? It's not like somebody is up there reading the entire book of Acts. They're just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game. "But it's a Christian prayer," some will argue. Yes, and this is the United States of America, a country founded on Christian principles. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect-somebody chanting Hare Krishna?
>
> If I went to a football game in Jerusalem, I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.
>
> If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad, I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.
>
> If I went to a ping pong match in China, I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.
>
> And I wouldn't be offended. It wouldn't bother me one bit. When in Rome ….
>
> "But what about the atheists?" is another argument.
>
> What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that's asking too much, bring a walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand.
> Call your lawyer!
>
> Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do.
>
>I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations.
>
> Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating; to pray before we go to sleep.
>
> Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.
>
> God, help us.
>
> And if that last sentence offends you,
> well .. just sue me.
>
> The silent majority has been silent too long. It's time we let that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard .... that the vast majority don't care what they want. It is time the majority rules! It's time we tell them, you don't have to pray; you don't have to say the pledge of allegiance; you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right. But by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back ... and we WILL WIN!
>
> God bless us one and all ... especially those who denounce Him. God bless America, despite all her faults. She is still the greatest nation of all.
>
> God bless our service men who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God.
>
> May 2005 be the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions.
> Keep looking up.
>-----------------------
> If you agree with this, please pass it on.
>----------------------
> If not, delete.

>Subject: Denzel Washington, and Brooks Army Medical Center
>
>Don't know whether you heard about this but Denzel Washington and his family visited the troops at Brook Army Medical Center, in San Antonio, Texas (BAMC) the other day. This is where soldiers who have been evacuated from Germany come to be hospitalized in the United States, especially burn victims. There are some buildings there called Fisher Houses. The Fisher House is a Hotel where soldiers' families can stay, for little or no charge, while their soldier is staying in the Hospital. BAMC has quite a few of these houses on base, but as you can imagine, they are almost filled most of the time.
>
>While Denzel Washington was visiting BAMC, they gave him a tour of one of the Fisher Houses. He asked how much one of them would cost to build. He took his check book out and wrote a check for the full amount right there on the spot. The soldiers overseas were amazed to hear

>The question I have is why does:

>Alec Baldwin,

>Madonna,

>Sean Penn and
>
>other Hollywood types
>
>make front page news with their anti-everything America trash and Denzel Washington's Patriotism doesn't even make page 3 in the Metro section of any newspaper except the Local newspaper in San Antonio.

>A true American and friend to all in uniform!

>This needs as wide a distribution as we can create.
